Now They Are Even Knocking off the Chinese Goods- LMAO

Posted by w_thames_the_d on April 4, 2010

This has to be a bitter pill to swallow. A Shenzhen based technology company found imitation or shanzhai versions of its product, in the US. Apparently this shanzai is a knockoff of the real Chinese company’s product.

The funny thing is that this company is bitching about what the world has been saying for a decade. And this company says that the tortfeasor even copied the ‘made in china’ label as if that adds any value.  The last humorous thing is that they want the wrongdoer caught before the goods make it to the Chinese market. News alert, if it was made here, it is pirated here. If it was pirated here, it has already been sold here.

excerpt chinadaily

“A Shenzhen-based technology company found imitation products, or “Shanzhai” versions, that used the company’s patents in the United States and is collecting related evidence to file a lawsuit before the shanzhai make their way into the Chinese market.

Jinghui Technology Co said a brand of electric bottle sold in the US with the “Made in China” label was an imitation copy of their products.

An official at Jinghui in charge of marketing said nearly 30% of the exported electric bottles from Guangdong, where Shenzhen is located, had infringed on Jinghui’s patents.

The company urged Customs to record the matter so as to stop the imitation imported goods at the border.”

Working and Living in China- What to Bring

Posted by w_thames_the_d on April 4, 2010

Bring any books and magazines, especially magazines, aside from the airport in Shanghai, you cannot get shit here!

Bring designer clothes as in China the real ones are too expensive. If you want fakes, then dont bring shit and buy it all here. Bring Reeses, and any good chocolate.

Dont bring: electronics, except for cell phones, nor movies, dvds, xboxes, gamecubes and no video games. Here they are all fake and wont play on your machine anyway, so here people guy a game that is chipped to play the pirated games.

Communism in China- CCP, The Party

Posted by w_thames_the_d on April 4, 2010

When you see CCP, or the term the Party used, they are referring to the Communist Party. CCP is the Chinese Communist Party. Some forget that China is still ruled by a communistic government.

Missing Easter

Posted by w_thames_the_d on April 4, 2010

Yeah, kind of depressing, but I have already said that, so lets gossip about Chinatown. Ok, basically they are happy that obama has ‘given in’ or that is what they are saying. Saying the states is in a conciliatory mood, and obama is in their back pocket blah blah.

Dont say much about Google- it still works.

Dining in China- People

Posted by w_thames_the_d on April 4, 2010

Just had some Korean food up at SOHO. Funny thing is that China has tons of people, and they don’t get paid shit, so the restaurants hire tons of them. Take tonight for instance, i marveled at the place, it has maybe 40 tables and they had no less than 15 waitstaff. I am no specialist , but it seemed like overkill. Then again, they pay the staff about 125U$ per month, so they can hire 15 of them for what the same as one back home.
