Call for Help in China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on June 9, 2010

Lately China has had some horrific crimes, this is yet another example. It is sad, as China is a decent place to live, but they have some seriously sick people apparently.

“SHENYANG – A man was detained for allegedly killing four family members and one tenant in Northeast China’s Liaoning province Wednesday, local police said.
The 32-year-old man surnamed Xiao allegedly beat his 62-year-old father, 59-year-old mother, 29-year-old wife, 8-year-old daughter and a 35-year-old female tenant surnamed Ge to death with a club at around 3 am in Liaozhong county in the provincial capital of Shenyang. The mother died in hospital while the other four died at the scene. The drunken Xiao was detained at around 6 am by police.”

Xiao is said to be deeply in debt.

Confused in China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on June 9, 2010

I am confused by this. Chian is coming down hard on ‘net and cell phone porn, yet the brothels in China number in the tens of thousands. In Beijing, the nations capital, the capital building itself is surrounded by them in a 7 mile radius. By my place there is a police shack and not 50 meters from it, are three such establishments.

“BEIJING – China’s General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) Wednesday said 55 Internet websites will be shutdown if they continue to offer downloads of pornographic cellphone games.

GAPP said in a statement the websites were found to be providing 53 different kinds of pornographic flash games and porn cellphone games.

The websites include: http://www.imobile.com.cn; http://www.dospy.com; http://www.motobbs.com; and lihuasoft.net among others.”

Death Knell in China- Labor Prices to Increase

Posted by w_thames_the_d on June 9, 2010

Interesting, a country with about 23% of the worlds population has a “tight” labor market and will increase wages. The problem in China is that the bosses spend an inordinate amount of money on expenses like KTV, restaurant, massages ( I have this report that corroborates this fact). Such that now, it is hard to make a profit for them in China, they will not skimp on their overspending. The result is that if they dont cut down on the amount of their overspending, and pay the workers from that, then they must allow direct increases in the wages in China. The problem is that if wages increase, the cache of producing in China plumets, causing problems for China.

“BEIJING – Foreign and domestic enterprises should brace themselves for hefty wage rises in the coming years after labor discontent at Foxconn and Honda units in the Pearl River Delta area, experts have said.
“They (such disputes) send a clear signal of tighter labor supply,” Cai Fang, director of the Institute of Population and Labor Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told China Daily. Wages for 150 million migrant workers increased 19 percent in 2008 and 16 percent in 2009, according to Cai, who said labor costs will continue to rise.

On Sunday, Taiwanese-owned Foxconn Technology Group announced a second rise that would increase pay by up to 65 percent at its factories in the southern city of Shenzhen.

Earlier, Honda offered a 24 percent pay hike to its auto parts workers in Foshan, Guangdong, to bring an unprecedented strike to an end.

Creative in China- Chinese farmer Makes Home Made Rockets to Defend from Theiving Communist Party

Posted by w_thames_the_d on June 9, 2010

WUHAN – A Chinese farmer has resorted to the use of shock tactics to defend his right to land ownership by using improvised rockets to expel demolition corps that have threatened to evict him for the construction of commercial buildings.

Farmer defends his turf with rockets

Since February, Yang Youde, a 56-year-old farmer living on the outskirts of Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province, has foiled two attempts to flatten his hut by using rocket-like weapons he has made himself.

“I shot only over their heads to frighten them, ” said Yang. “I didn’t want to cause any injuries.”

The rockets, made from fireworks Yang bought from a local market, could reach up to 100 meters and make a deafening sound, as was shown in a mock attack.
