This is China and opportunity abounds. The company listed below, imho is bullshit, they are bontv, a veiled arm of the communist party, and do these odd ‘cultural exchange’ shows. But, if you want to experience this place, you can give it a shot. Below is the ad.


We are currently seeking a host/presenter with the experience, manner, confidence and maturity to front a brand-new Business News and Talk show currently in pre-production. This is an exciting opportunity to continue an international television career or to transfer your skills from a similarly public role.

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Negotiable.
Contract type: full time or part time
Location: Beijing


– Performs as a presenter of information on business news and other station programs covering news stories.
– Is part of the “face” we present to our geographically diverse audience and, as such, represents the company to the public.
– Writes and/or proofreads stories on assigned broadcasts and advise on the continual development of the qualities of the show.
– Reads China-focused business newspapers, reports and like magazines to stay informed on current and ongoing events.
– Works with producers, reporters and associate producers on assigned business news broadcast.

You will have:

– A college degree or equivalent.
– An active interest in business news regarding China and developing business decisions between China and other global powers and industry.

– We would prefer an individual who has anchored for a minimum of three years in a growing or major market and who has either anchored a regularly scheduled news/business news broadcast or hosted a serious talking-heads show on a commercial or public television station.

– We will also consider new talent for audition.
