More Chinese Stock Fraud in the USA- I See a Future Filled withe 80 year old Wal-Mart Greeters Feasting on Cat Food

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

File this one under “I’ll be working till I drop at the age of 80, trundling along with a cart and a silly fking grin on my old liver-spotted face, saying ‘welcome to Wal-mart- oh yah , and thanks China’

It is pretty obvious why the west is touting the growth in China while downplaying some of the frightening and obvious realities (weaknesses in lending, bad loans, inflation etc.). To hear the west tell it, China is Valhalla,, but alas we see why. In the article below we see how US firms are helping the chicoms lie about stock earnings, thus duping us out of our cash and potentially our retirement plans.
Its one thing to have Madoff pull this on us, but he is an American and yeah they got some of the money back, but if a chicom does it, what is our recourse? In the end, the chicom will not be sent to jail, nor will the stolen funds be returned, he’ll probably just set up a business in the USA or buy some houses…

My Chinese Christmas Gift List

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

I’m in China, or the ‘center of the universe’ as its known here, so i have dumbed down my Christmas gift list. The following is what I hope to receive this year….

uncle chicom please give me:
-unfettered internet access, even if for a day
-give me back my functioning lungs, and not these infected, no-doub5t disease riddled organs that now inhabit my chest cavity
-give me booties so slip over my feat so I dont drag all the phlegm from your streets into my household
-give me clean air for a few days so that my nagging nasal congestion can clear up and I can once again breath through my nose, and not my mouth like some fat, out of shape inner city bus driver
-give your people some of the cash that you piss away on ‘face saving’ endeavors, they really deserve it
-give me milk and food products that actually allow my body to do its job, ie, live and not take it down the path to ruin
-real medicine
-real DVD’s

This may be a lot to ask uncle chicom, but in the end I think you can handle it.

Hilarious Photo Chinese Baby Formula Powdering Plant

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

I came across this photo from this site. It is funny, as the guy says that these workers heading to the bowels of some dangerous toxic Chinese grave/mine, are actually workers in a Chinese baby formula plant….

Santa Coming to China?

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

Back home, the local weather stations frequently track Santa’s path as he criss-crosses the globe in his incredible attempt to distribute toys to all the little boys and girls. In China we dont get much of it. As a matter of fact, I heard that Santa was tracked down on the northwest border of the Xinjiang region in China, and blasted out of the sky by one of the newest missiles uncle chicom has to offer, although the UN , UNICEF and the muppets pitched a fit, uncle chicom quickly produced written accounts of how Santa Claus was undermining the stability of the State and thus an enemy thereof. The charred remains of the once merry old fat man, were sent to labs for testing, after all, just imagine what uncle chicom could do if he really could get reindeer to fly and move with the quickness of an old man like Santa.

Christmas Eve in China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

“All the stockings weren’t hung by the chimeny with care, no one hopes that Saint Nicolas soon will be here”

Christmas report from China…. ummm well… Ok, China has some Christians, but they are controlled and not allowed to attend mass with the foreigners, so it doesnt matter. Sure they have some bling hanging from the lights etc, but the spirit isnt there. This will be my fourth Christmas in this place and in a way its nice, ie they all wish you a merry Christmas and such, but I dont feel them. I guess it would be like me wishing you a fine Ramadan, I have no idea of the reality of it, so it is a warm but uneventful gesture.

View of China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

The other day I stopped in to this fast food joint and watched China pass by. This was teh scene in front of the place, some little poor lady hustling socks, scarfs and such. I figure the total value of all the goods to be about 300rmb or 40U$, I wonder how many times she has to turn that over in a day to make a living here.

Public Pisser in China – Part, I dont know

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

In the on-going saga of my quest to catch Chinese urinating in public, I took this shot. I was a little late, but caught this lady leaving her house- pictured in the background, and then talking her little burden/child to urniate in the little park.

This is China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on December 23, 2010

China is odd insofar as one little kid are usually surrounded by 4 adults, usually his parents and grandparents. The lobby of many apartments ends up looking like amix of a geriatric home and play pen.
