Using in China

It is a scientifically proven fact that most people who live in the land formerly known as the ‘center kingdom/center of the universe are users. When meeting one of these fine people they will typically do the following.
A-they will classify you, rich-poor,young-old,
B-from this they will decide what it is that they can get from you
C-at a minimum they will try to burn you for some free English lessons

  1. My daughter (still living in China) keeps her phone turned off during some parts of the day just so she won’t have to answer yet another call asking for help with English.

Thanks for the comment and I think you have captured the spirit of friendship in China…why have a foreign friend if you cant get something from them?

      • In all fairness though, we have friends we call when we need help with Chinese communication. I think as long as it’s a reciprocating friendship, rather than all one-sided, things work out ok.
