Beijing Limits Car Usage- Jaguar Worried

Beijing’s traffic is unbearable, you’d be better off curling into a ball and rolling to your destination rather than driving. In order to stop this, the Chinese brain trust is limiting car license plate purchases, among other things. The potential impact on car manufacturers has them worried (see below). I guess it was much easier when only the emperor had a right to be on the roads.

“Still, over the weekend, Jaguar Land Rover China President Bob Grace struck a relatively cautious tone when he said at a dealer opening event in Beijing that it was “too early” to determine what kind of impact his brands – Jaguar and Land Rover – might feel from Beijing’s move.
