Quick Dial 110, or maybe 122 or maybe 119- Emergency Numbers in China

In China, you can dial 110 to report a crime, 122 for traffic accidents, or 119 for fires or other things, or so I am told. What gets me is why they didnt just Shanzai 911 from the land of milk and honey. It would be much easier for all the locals, but maybe thats just too easy.

  1. If they made it easy, then people might actually use it. Besides, if it works like the ambulance system, you have to have money to pay the ambulance driver/workers up front before you can be taken to the hospital. Then, once at the hospital, you have to pay for treatment before it’s administered. I’d say, most folks in China can’t afford the cost of emergency services.
