Chinese Not Satisfied with Their Education

Posted by w_thames_the_d on March 2, 2011

The chinadialy said that China’s satisfaction with their education has dropped 3% in a recent poll. I just wonder what their expectations are. Firstly, do to the nature of China, you have ill-prepared students who due to the guanxi of their parents are sent off to schools that cost much more than many of the others but also do to the nature of Chinese education, offer similar instruction, wiht the exception of English classes perhaps. I guess when you are forced to pay over U$35,000 in ‘hong baos’ or bribes to send your kid to a ‘top’ grade school, you expect some kind of payback.
