Bulangui in China? – Funny Chinese Translation at Subway

I love Subway and have eaten there for a tons of years. The Subs in China are as good as the one’s at home. Even the cookies taste the same. As I was buying a sub the other day, I noticed this sign. If you look closely it says BU LAN GUI below what looks like a brownie. So i was like “hey what is bulan gui?” the girl points at the sign as if to say, “look it’s right here, bu lan gui” so i was like, yeah i can see that but what is a bu lang gui? She attempted to explain but her English sucked as bad as my Chinese so i just bought one. Realizing it was a brownie, it dawned on my that they, instead of utilizing the phonetic spelling of the word in English, just figured it was the same word in Chinese.
