Score one for chinese humanity
from the Chinadaily
“Animal rights campaigners rescued 430 dogs from the dinner table at the weekend after staging a 15-hour blockade at a toll station in Tongzhou district. More than 200 people swamped the checkpoint near Zhangjiawan to demand the release of the animals, which were being transported from Henan province to restaurants in Changchun, capital of Jilin province.”

I never get what’s the problem with eating dogs (or cats or whatever)… Maybe you can enlighten me how they are “more” than other animals?

Surely I would not mind enlightening you! Actually, as usual you bring up a good point. Eating animals does suck, as they are precious. And yes I do eat beef and pork and love chicken. But I will tell ya that after owning a rabbit I will never eat one. Even my girl friday felt upset with herself for chomping on 22’s kin the other day. Think of it like this, if I refrain from eating rabbit cuz of 22 and all she really does is shit, hop around, and lick on her junk all day. But if I can find it in my minisclue heart to abstain from her kind then imagine how big a hunk of crap I’d feel like if I ate a dog. Dogs are the perfect friend, kind, loving, faithful and dont complain too much. Daniel, look into the eyes of a dog and tell me if you don’t see a soul….
ps cats are also cool and get a bad rap due to their independence, but I love them too.

Nah I don’t see a soul… I might see dinner however 😉 I’ve never seen why any animal couldn’t be eaten, as long as it tastes good. BTW, have you tried horse? It’s pretty good!
