An American in China

China’s Prolems With Her Infrastructure

China’s recent growth has caused many problems ie pollution, greed, avarice and a strain on their infrastructure. I cannot count how many days that I have been without hot water and/or electricity in China. To me this is very telling as I’ve lived and worked in some pretty poor places. For instance, while living in Mexico, who on a GDP basis is actually below China , but never had a problem with hot water nor electricity. And in Mexico, I lived in a B level city, not one of the major metropolises. Thus as the economy continues to increase and the people become more affluent, these inconveniences will only increase. According to a Taiwanese paper, this a major concern for their firms.
