China to Allow People From Shanghai To Directly Invest Overseas?

Posted by w_thames_the_d on May 23, 2011

China, being China and closed, used to disallow the locals from directly investing overseas. They could not purchase stocks, for instance from civilized countries but had to go through a broker/thief, local guy who would only sell a packet of stocks. Now this may change. If it does I would think we will see house prices come down a bit. Think of it like this, at present Chinese can only purchase things like shitty jade, houses and cars as investments along with miserable Chinese stocks. Given the option to go elsewhere, I assume they will do so with a gusto. This may take the zest out of buying a Chinese home which will surely collapse in the near future.

China’s Ecological Crisis- Yangtze at Lowest Level Ever!

Posted by w_thames_the_d on May 23, 2011

China is having problems that are eerily similar to the Great Leap forward. As a matter of fact, water levels in some areas are asl low as in that period. More worrying, however is the fact that the Yangtze River is at its lowest level ever in the 5000 year history of China.

globaltimes:
“BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhuanet) –Water level in China’s longest Yangtze river keeps on dropping and water depth in the Henggang section has dropped to less than 5 meters, the lowest in history. Meanwhile Poyang Lake in South China’s Jiangxi Province reduced to only one tenth of it’s usual size. CCTV reporter Zhang Shuo went to the two places and brought us the latest of the situation there.”

Sleepless in Beijing So I’ll Rant

Posted by w_thames_the_d on May 23, 2011

Its 1:20 barbarian time and I cant sleep so I’ll rant. Firstly did you see that the pakis are inviting China to manage some port called Gawda. Imagine that, the chinese managing something. If it werent for the ease of accepting bribes or facility they have in running brothels, the majority of these guys would still be running around barefoot and licking tree bark for protein. I guess the pakis need some help so they called the thug financiers. India for their part is pissed as they now have both the millenial farmers and the pakis armed to the teeth and now find themselves surrounded. I feel for india as they are a cool people.
Did you ever notice how chinese talk to themselves, to me its pretty freaking creepy. I sit there on the subway and am distracted from videoing the guy with his finger stuck directly up his nose as some fk wad keeps harping on about something. I turn around wondering wtf he is doing, and the guy is alone, having a gay old time with no one but himself. I usually stay away from that type, too many of those bastards have big assed knives. I guess I should not worry as they only have the nuts to attack kids on a playground, but maybe that was going to far. Maybe i jjust need to vent, to let off a little steam and you my friends are the recipient of this. I will try to sleep now and hope you all have a pleasant tomorrow….
