Rape of a Man Not Illegal in China- Sad Story of a Male Rape Victim

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

A 15 year old Chinese boy was allegedly raped on June 8 by a 29 year old local businessman allegedly dragged him into his car at knifepoint and then drove him off and forced him to have sex. After six hours the boy was released.

The alleged perpetrator was caught, but according to Chinese law, rape can only happen to women and not men.

While article 236 of Chinese law defines women as victims of rap and article 237 speak to indecency towards a child, neither protects the boy as he is over the legal defintion of a child. This legal snafu, or maybe it was the fact that the person who was raped was a poor farmer and the man who had allegedly raped him was one of only 6% of the Chinese who can afford to own a car, lead to the alleged perpetrator being held for only 15 days in administration detention.

Upon hearing about the rape, the boys familay had to get involved for the Chinese legal system is such. And the family could find little to support their case. Even after complaining to the authorities about the event, they said that little had happened to the restaurant, even after his car was spotted. One has to remember that in China, cash is king. Although the news make no mention that the suspects money had anything to do with the alleged foot dragging of the authorities, one has to wonder.

In any event, the public heard about the event and was outraged, causing the police to act. Eventually they said they may be able to bring the suspect up on ‘illegal detention charges’. Lets just hope that if he has money, it will not allow him to buy his freedom.
The victom was from Xinmi Henan

China Fact- China’s Water Pollution Problem

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

China suffers from widespread pollution, especially in her water supply. The WHO has said that 90% of the aquifers beneath major cities are polluted…wtf?
Yeah, the water that is supposed to give and sustain life is so polluted that only 1 in 10 cities would be useful for human consumption. In addition to this, rainfall here is 40 to 60% lower than normal. In reality they need the help of the world to get themselves on track for the affluent will merely send their future disappointments overseas but the good people will be left here to suffer.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen on China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

Is this considered hate speech?
Dr. Sun Yat-sen:
“…in the majestic tide of history, those who follow the current shall flourish, those who go contrary to it shall perish.
Although the road will be very tortuous and dangerous, China will eventually become a democratic, rule of law, constitutional government and no one can stop it.”

Thought for the Day on China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

Is it just me or is putting things like nuclear facilities, coal mines, oil drilling wells in the hands of China like loading the hands of a toddler with pairing knives, razorblades and throwing stars then exhorting him to sprint across the rut strewn outback while all the while yelling ‘faster! Faster!’

China’s second major oil spill in the past year

Philippines Ban China’s Chinese Embassy First Secretary Li Yongsheng from Spratly Talks

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

Some Chinese guy named Li Yongsheng, who is China’s Embassy First Secretary, was told to kiss off and not join the next round of Spratly Island talks due to inappropriate and rude behavior in the last talks. The allegations are that the man used a tone and words that were unbecoming of a diplomat…no shit?
Lets think long and hard about it.

Absent information on the man and his age, lets take a guess.
Being a good communist leader he is probably from 60-65 which means he was born in 1950 and grew up in hell. When he was from 7 to 9 years old, Chinese were trading their children with one another to dine from their meat as they endured the worst famine China had ever seen. Accounts of cannibalism were rampant (sources here and here ) then as he was lucky enough to survive, when he was entering middle school and high school, they were all effectively closed down and young people were ratting out their folks, killing and torturing teachers and anyone with a modicum of intelligence and the most ignorant people of the country once again gained power. This lasted until the guy was around the age when most in civilization were attending college, but once again all colleges in China were closed and education in China was nothing more than struggle sessions and reciting from Mao’s red book (this is a fact).
After this period, a short guy who spat a lot said he wanted to change things and allow those with communist connections to get rich, so they opened up. So all of the sudden the communists who had been taught to hate , to kill and oppress, had been forced to join the civilized world, but emotionally they still bore the scars and trauma of something we and our parents cannot dream of, unless we lived in Sudan. Thus, to expect any of these people to behave like diplomats, gentlemen and in a civilized manner may be wishful thinking.
Interestingly enough, China’s next leader Xi Jinping, grew up during this exact same time. So I wonder what it says about him and all of the leaders to be put in power next year.

When Chinese Lie, They Lie Big- China’s Crazy Untruth About that ‘Little Oil Spill”

Posted by w_thames_the_d on July 6, 2011

China has this huge oil spill problem because it is China and that is what happens. Associated with the geological catastrophe, there is the usual finger pointing as the Chinese government would never admit that they had actually done something wrong, but be that as it may, here is a good example of the truth with “Chinese characteristics”.
The Chinese initially reported the spill as covering only 200 square meters when in reality it covered 840 square kilometers, which resulted in an underestimate of 4 MILLION!….
A lie like this would make BP proud, but then again the US at least tried to keep them honest by allowing media coverage and even put a cam down there so we could watch the rape of the ocean first hand, while the communists muzzled the press and still have not been forthcoming about the incident except in blaming the barbarian foreign company.
My take on this is that safety and China seem to be mutually exclusive, especially over the past fifteen years.
