Happy Panda

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

This beautiful panda seems quite happy. The reason for his mirth, I assume, is that he just returned from a civilized country. Unfortunately, I fear, the smile will not last long as he , just like the thousands who are forced to return to China from vacations, being fired and the like realize what they are coming back to.
Soon the panda will battle with sinusitis and his arteries will be clogged with industrial sludge oil, and the cadmium infested roots and bamboo he so enjoys will render his grey matter into duck shit fudge. Then he will truly be Chinese once again…

Chinese Women and Pregnancy

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

Here is a quote from mylaowai.com . I posted an excerpt before, but if you are like me and have ADD you may have not read the whole thing so I’ll copy a bit of it here. The author is addressing the issue of finding a woman in China. To those virgins of you who have maintained contact with civilization and have not experienced the reverse-Darwinism that is China, maybe some background is in order.
Background
Chinese, for the most part, are soul-less (and spare me some idiotic comment about the gross over-generalization I just made, and go back to Wal-mart to stock up on poison pots and pans). Being soul-less they care not for the things some hold dear: love, feelings, kindness. Thus in order to marry here, one must , in essence buy the woman. No love is not necessary, nor good looks nor working limbs, all one needs is a house and maybe a car and he can have any local tart he wants…. so much for background

from mylaowai.com
“I’m sure that somewhere here there is a moral for you to take away, but quite frankly I’m too disgusted to bother trying to find it. Perhaps it’s just: don’t impregnate a Chinese bird. Hell, don’t bother with them at all, by-and-large. And anyway, all babies look like Chairman Mao – fat, ugly, and always shitting everywhere. Why bother? Nope, if you insist on buying yourself a Chinese girlfriend or wife (and make no mistake about it, it is a financial transaction first and foremost, with a no-money-back guarantee), then for the love of all that you hold dear (beer, cars, guns, and sport), do not under any circumstances allow her to become infected with a baby.

China’s Future

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

China’s Future in a photo.
This is an ad in China and portends the future of this place. Within 30 years China will have more people 60 and over than America has people. So if you think we have a food stamp and social security issue, what does it mean for this place?
The answer is in the pic. All the new one-mistake kids will be responsible, at a minimum, for the people pictured. They will have to feed and clothe their bothersome moms, dads and grandparents, all the while trying to make due and survive in a land that has become putrid and less than livable.
I am at a loss to figure out how they will manage it….

Chinese HSBC Employee Poisons Boss?

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

It is rumored that a Chinese employee attempted to poison her boss by adding nail polish to his water. Then it has been alleged it was all a joke. Then it was alleged it wasn’t a joke but a cover up by HSBC. Then it was alleged it was a fake cover up to shine light on the company. (story)
In all honesty I do not give a shit if it was real or fake. The only question I have to ask is why Chinese do those idiotic isometric exercises on airplanes. Have you ever noticed that they all huddle to the rear of the plane and stretch during a flight, or do that idiotic hand pound massage thing on their kankles and saggy asses?
I’m trying to enjoy the flight and the guy in the aisle has his mini-package nose high and is doing some Jack Lalane bullshit while wearing those idiotic slippers they all wear on flights.
My question is that for a country that is supposed to be concerned with face, why do they do this?

Chinese Official Calls China’s E-technology “Hopeless, Garbage”

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

The Chinese know China and its interesting to hear their perspectives on Chinese tech as compared to the ‘talking heads’ in the west. For instance, “Ministry of Industry and Information Technology squaring off in public. In July, the NDRC’s Li Gang referred to the “hopeless” prospects of the country’s “garbage technology” for electric cars.”- from here
I guess I’d not argue with the guy, as he’s been here much longer than I have. My question is, what was Buffet thinking?

E-bikes in China- Too Many

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

When you come to China you will notice a ton of silent Ninja-like electric bicycles. Their pilots whiz around the city with little to no regard for personal safety, both theirs and yours. Maybe you’ve not been on an e-bike and the reason is that all the Chinese have bought them. Last year 30 million electric bicycles were purchased and 29 million of them were bought in China.

Toxic China Adds Recycling Spoiled old Ham to the Menu- Toxic Food in China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

China news from wantchinatimes says that a major Chinese company is using old ham, mixed with new to sell after it has reached its expiration date. This comes a few days after China has launched an anti-shitty food campaign….

From here

It has been reported that Chinese meat processor China Yurun Food Group used recycled meat in its ham after a five-star hotel claimed that it discovered old packaging material. The food company denied the charge and said that a rare mistake occurred in its automatic packaging process when plastic film and metal buckles were found in the ham purchased by the hotel in Hefei, Anhui province, according to an official statement quoted by Xinhua news agency yesterday (May 27).
The company has suspended a defective assembly line of its subsidiary Ma’anshan Yurun Food Co and started to recall products of the same batch. Executives and workers responsible for the incident will be suspended until an investigation has been completed, the company said. However, the company’s statement contradicts the account of the hotel’s chef while some food industry analysts also indicated that the material had been used previously and mixed with the ham before the new batch was packaged. The chef accused the company of unwrapping expired ham and mixing it with fresh meat.

Notice to China, Chew With Your Mouth Closed

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 22, 2011

China has opened herself up which means that aside from us now being able to buy shitty knockoffs, we get to see more Chinese people in action, being Chinese. One of the more obvious difference between them and humanity is in terms of etiquette and couth.

For instance, the other day I was getting my daily intake of heavy metals and carcinogens -eating, I was bored. Being bored I took a look around me and started to notice how the locals are different from us. Aside from the raucous din of slurping noodles, tea and whatever else they stuff into their maws, I noticed that the locals enjoy their food a lot. As a matter of fact they enjoy it so much that they like to show it off to those of us who are seated next to them. They do this while talking, while not talking and while just being themselves.
Of course I am addressing the fact that eating with Chinese characteristics means noshing on your food while exposing as much of it as possible to the other patrons of the establishment. I guess while their parents were taught that Mao was better than God, they didn’t have time to focus on things like hygiene and etiquette.
As such they feel it is incumbent upon them to grind their vittles into a pulp, all the while swishing it around with their tongue and clickity clack mismatched teeth and smile. By my reckoning of the 23 patrons at the last restaurant I visited, 21 made no attempt to chew with their mouths closed, while two made at least an effort.

For those of you with a weak stomach, this may not be the place to get your grub on….
