China Calls US “Mad”

Posted by w_thames_the_d on September 9, 2011

China has a problem with that little isalnd to the east of them, not Japan, well that too, but the other one as well. And the US wnats to sell arms to that little island which pisses off China.

From here
“China’s top official newspaper warned on Friday that “madmen” on Capitol Hill who want the United States to sell advanced weapons to Taiwan were playing with fire and could pay a “disastrous price,” as the Obama administration nears a decision on a sale.”

Chinese Made Electric Car Batteries Explode- Recalling Taxis

Posted by w_thames_the_d on September 9, 2011

China should not make certain things. These things should be any products that are meant to be consumed, driven, used on one’s skin or near their eyes or given to pets, in addition nor should they make vessels for liquids.. but I digress.
China tries to get with it and makes Electric vehicles, but of course they suck and this one blew up in a fiery mess. No one was hurt but the area called Hangzhou had to recall the shitty cars called a Zoltye.

Comment on China and Weapons

Posted by w_thames_the_d on September 9, 2011

Good comment from Simonbarsinister…..

“The state arms makers have orders from the PRC to act as creative loose cannons. This means inferring “what would the PRC do?” and then doing that. Plausible deniability, no actual orders need be given, And of course orders not to snitch on the PRC’s passive scheme to control state-run companies automatically. Snitch and families disappear in the middle of the night.

Come to China But Don’t Drink the…

Posted by w_thames_the_d on September 9, 2011

China innovates to a certain extent.Who else could have conceived of adding carcinogens to milk of all things, just to make a buck? But now they have even taken it a step further as they have decided that edible oil is not a good thing and have substituted it for industrial grade oil and splashed this in our juicers. The result is
freshly squeezed cancer Juice- all made in China…
from here
“A microblog post by an expert from the China National Food Industry Association, alleging that manufacturers used industrial lubricating oil in juicers and soy milk makers, has caused public concern, following several other food safety scandals.
According to the 21st Century Business Herald website, the post by Huang Taiyuan accusing home appliance makers of using industrial lubricants to save on costs has been widely forwarded in the online community.”

Chinese Music

Posted by w_thames_the_d on September 9, 2011

HA Giles visited China over 100 years ago and what we can see from his observations is that it has not changed all that much…
HA Giles
“Because of the difference of scale, Chinese music does not make any appeal to Western ears; at any rate, not in the sense in which it appealed to Confucius, who has left it on record that after listening to a certain melody he was so affected as not to be able to taste meat for three months.”
