An American in China

Chinese Land So Rancid It is Poisoning the Beef

Posted by w_thames_the_d on November 13, 2011

Here is a comment from Brewskie. If you live in hell, you cannot access the site. Apparently the report is that China’s land is so foul that it is tainting the meat of cows…
from Brewskie
“Problem: Recent reports indicate large portions of Chinese farmland are polluted with heavy metals.

Solution: Garbage beef! Turn landfills into feedlots for hungry cattle.

I just found out BI has a link to the same story: ya gotta check out the photos, dude.

Switching gears… I found a dude who took pictures of horrendous deterioration persisting in several buildings, including a 2-year-old apartment. True, it’s nothing you, Gowron, MyLaowai or Josh (of Pudding and Chopsticks) haven’t seen a million times, but these are two in a billion reminders of China’s future. In America, they say the average bridge is seven years away from the end of its useful life; we have over 3,500 bridge closing last years. CIP: Isn’t China’s fate also on shaky ground considering the foundation made of concrete that crumbles in your hand?

In the second link, the photographer said the Chinese were scared to live in the buildings, and wanted to leave, but couldn’t. God, I’ve seen US ghetto buildings age more gracefully than these.

Let me be specific about the “poisoning the cattle” bit: specifically, it’s about cows feeding in trash-laden land fills, complete with pics.
