Almost 80 percent of the people from Hong Kong do no think of themselves as Chinese . The mainlanders, like fat little spoiled brats, roil around in fits of anger, say the HKese. Think they are superior.
I don’t know about that, but I can understand how they d hate to have all those mainlanders mucking up their streets…

Brewskie Brings the Ha Ha , Pollution, Chicoms and Black Lung in China

Posted by w_thames_the_d on January 23, 2012

Great comment by the Brew man on china reality…

From Brewskie

“Oh man, you’re not going to like this – really you’re not. I’d suggest pal up with a good CCP patriot, locate an awesome KTV for him to frequent, and tugging him to return the favor by purchasing a pristine iron lung for you to hibernate, ’cause this is going to suck.

516. No, that’s not the total point the Green Bay Porkers (Packers) scored through the season before crapping out to the Giants; it’s the PM reading Beijing’s Liangxiang station nailed on January 18. 516 is not a typo. The smog, which has been covering the entire city, isn’t expected to lift until Saturday.

In America a few years back when stories of eating too much broccoli carried health implications (know I’ll kick daises early), jokes (and likely a few real instances) of kids refusing to eat broccoli because of health concerns emerged; and now, Chinese kids are going to stuff this story in their papa’s face, and say “Screw you, pops, I don’t care if you bleed your fingers to the bone for my education. I’m heading to the coal mines, ’cause there I’ll die of black lung 20 years later than if I stay in “Mordor.”

Hilarious Site

Posted by w_thames_the_d on January 23, 2012

I was bored so I clicked on one of those sites that WordPress Pimps on their main screen. They usually suck and don’t relate to anything I’d call reality.

Today, however, I came across a keeper, here is an excerpt that got mE

THREE REALLY GOOD SIMILES FOR MY LIFE

– If my life was a city, it would be called Hot Mess and it would be populated by people who couldn’t have a conversation without desperate 45-second silences between topics. Everyone’s credit card would be constantly rejected, and everyone’s last name would be unpronounceable on the first try.

Blog here  http://listfulthinking.wordpress.com/

I enjoy her wit and artful use of words, she brings it. You know the type? They keep dialogue entertaining but in an intelligent way.

Others who I’ve found and enjoy are

Www.mylaowai.com IMHO, he’s got some of the funniest stuff i’ve ever read

Www.chinesepeoplehavenostyle.com is pimp! For along side his oft times snarky commentary, he’s got badass photos

Another author by the name of k8. hinote.wordpress.com is a singer and song writer and can bring it as well.

China’s Average Disposable income is $130 per year, Wh Rush To Sell Them Things?

Posted by w_thames_the_d on January 23, 2012

Here are some stats about china and poverty. And remember, china now has the second most number of billionaires in the world and in 19999 they had 0. What this means is that there is a tremendous amount of wealth in a few hands and hordes of poverty stricken which would mean these figures are more stark then they seem.
StatsThe central government in late December made public the latest statistics concerning national progress toward building a “well-off” society. The figures show that China’s per capita GDP increased to 29,992 yuan (US$4,747) in 2010 with an average personal disposable income of 10,046 yuan (US$1,590).

But he also conceded that he himself does not feel happy although he currently draws a monthly salary of close to 10,000 yuan (US$1,580) with a disposable income of about 6,500 yuan (US$1,030), which is 7.8 times the national average. Ma told the Guangzhou-based Southern Weekly that he has serious doubts about whether he is qualified to belong to the middle class.

Chinese Official Allegedly Abscounds $700 million From Steel Company

Posted by w_thames_the_d on January 23, 2012

Below is a link to a story, surprisingly enough, about corruption. Some communist party member who’s also a businessman and alleged racketeer, boosted seven hundred million in civilized dollars , from a Chinese steel company – allegedly.
Here s my take…
Wtf?…
China just had some guy who bilked billions from the high speed rail, and trains are made of steel right? And the rails they are steel too , right?

So not only did the guy whose in charge of operating the rails cut corners, but the guy making the steel did as well.

This means that those death trains made from stolen tech that the locals cannot begin to comprehend are actually made from sub par steel that is more akin to a ‘twist tie’ than industrial grade steel…

ALL ABOARD!!!!!!!!!
