Aaron Brooks, Marbury and Shitty Chinese Hoops

China, in an attempt at doing nothing original, has knocked off the NBA. But like most things from here, it’s a subpar approximation of what the real thing should be. Yahoo did a bit the other day about Marbury and his team winning the title, but all in all the story is a yawner. The thing is that the CBA is, well, how do I put this in pc terms…… Well the CBA has challenges. Aaron Brooks is not one of them, he actually played a good if uninspired game. Marbury, for the most part, looked tired and old and missed layups, easy shots and had enough energy to cry in the end. both players garnered the spotlight, of course, after all this is Chinese hoops. The problem is that the CBA, or corrupt basketball league, is a microcosm of china itself, it fears the mean outside world. Yes, the CBA only allows each team to have 2 foreigners, for if they could have more, how many Chinese would be playing? Mandating that Chinese play means enough missed shots, foolish play and boredom to ensure that nothing less than an eighth of indie or massive doses Xanax can make the experience survivable. As for the locals, they are pissed that foreigners get all the ink and booty, but in reality they should just man up and play above the rim, as it were. But of course, it’s China so they would rather talk about this dynasty or that and remind us that when Moses was a babe, they invented something….. In all honesty, the game was a sleeper but Brooks looked great.And yeah, many Beijingers were upset with the foreign black devils stealing the spotlight…..welcome to china…

Chinese Work So Hard… And Accomplish So Little

Here is a question, Chinese work hard right? According to some labor watch groups, the Chinese slave away for a min of 12 hours per day 28 days per month. If this is true, then compared to the people in civilization, Chinese are at work 336 hours per month compared to our level of 176 hours. This means they work 1.9 hours for every one hour we work. And remember that china has 4.3 people to every 1 American. But, because the Chinese work so many hours, it is really as if they have 4.3×1.9 or 8.3 times more workers ( considering work hours). So, if China has 8.3 workers for every single worker in the USA,wtf are they doing with all their time? Sure they make a mean buffet, and what’s not to love about lead tainted glass, but aside from these, can you name a thing these guys have invented?

Slave Labor in China

Here is an excellent rant by the King. A good point that he makes, which is also a weakness in the article about china, is that the world is supposed to be progressing and not regressing. The author of the article , Ike so many idiots, makes the old tired argument that china is just doing what the west did in the past. The reason this argument is so foolish is that we are now supposedly more enlightened, ie smarter. To say that china be allowed to revert to dark ages practices to make a buck is condoning slave labor. Their argument is as weak as someone who says, Hey my grandpa smoked , so I should be allowed to as well. Sure your grandpa took up smoking before all the risks were known. We, however, have better info, thus should act more human or civilized.
