Who says China cannot innovate? They make ‘killer apartments’.
“The most expensive land in the Chinese market may turn out to be the most toxic.
Lands which had before been in use by factories have, in recent years, been vacated and sold on the market for exorbant prices. For example, after moving away from the central business district in Beijing, the land left by certain chemical factories is highly contaminated. It is expected that 1 billion yuan (US$160 million) is required to restore the land, the most expensive recovery process to date in China.”
