China has laws and some of them regulate pollution. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, China does obey their laws. The result is a constant brackish sludge that is an ever present reminder of just how horrible Chinese air quality is.
According to the excerpt below, pollution is so bad it is deterring foreigners from visiting China. As for me, A think people do not want to come for they know how badly this place sucks. If it is not air pollution, it is food and water toxins that will get you. And who wants to visit a place where seeing the sun is a treat?

According to Andrews’ calculations, the average PM2.5 reading in the first half of 2013 was about 118 micrograms per cubic meter, compared with 95 last year and 89 in 2011. “In other words, so far this year the air pollution is about 25 percent worse than the first half of last year,” he said.
Total numbers of foreigners to Beijing rose in January by 13 percent compared with a year earlier. But following news reports of January’s smog, they dropped in February by 37 percent compared with February 2012.
