Beijing’s Insane Pollution Getting Worse- 25% Increase PM 2.5

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 14, 2013

China has laws and some of them regulate pollution. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, China does obey their laws. The result is a constant brackish sludge that is an ever present reminder of just how horrible Chinese air quality is.

According to the excerpt below, pollution is so bad it is deterring foreigners from visiting China. As for me, A think people do not want to come for they know how badly this place sucks. If it is not air pollution, it is food and water toxins that will get you. And who wants to visit a place where seeing the sun is a treat?

Take a look at the pollution in this pic and you decide if China would be a good place to visit.

Excerpt

According to Andrews’ calculations, the average PM2.5 reading in the first half of 2013 was about 118 micrograms per cubic meter, compared with 95 last year and 89 in 2011. “In other words, so far this year the air pollution is about 25 percent worse than the first half of last year,” he said.

Total numbers of foreigners to Beijing rose in January by 13 percent compared with a year earlier. But following news reports of January’s smog, they dropped in February by 37 percent compared with February 2012.

These photos were taken in broad daylight.

Russia Bans Chinatowns, Questions Quality of Chinese Immigrants

Posted by w_thames_the_d on August 14, 2013

This is funny. Russia, which is not the vicar of social class, is outlawing Chinatowns. It says that the Chinese immigrants have no culture nor class and thus does not want them banning together in the ‘other motherland’. As a result, it has banned Chinatowns. I guess they want to make it hard for anyone who is looking to score some ‘dog kebabs’.

Shh, do not tell the Chinese studying at your universities, but this is what Beijing looked like until Deng Xiao Ping rolled out the tanks and did not have thousands exterminated in 1989.
