An American in China

Chinese School Forces Children to Give Blood

Chinese redefine the term ‘humanity’. In the excerpt below it tells about how some kindly Chinese men forced toddlers and preteens to give blood. Of course those Asian elders made a pretty penny in doing so.

Funny thing is that you have to be at least 18 to give blood in China and the youngest of these blood brothers was 10. Of course the cantankerous caregivers had an answer for that, they gave the children fake ID’s.

I dont know about you, but to me its a stretch to think that anyone could mistake a Chinese man for a man let alone a Chinese child. Sporting the chest cavity of a box elder bug, Chinese dudes do not look the part. Now if a Chinese adult looks no more than a prepubescent teen, then what does a Chinese 10 year old look like?

Nobody cared because everybody got paid.

Police officials arrested seven people who allegedly forced school children to donate blood in northwest China, according to the Xinhua news agency. In China, people between ages 18 to 55 can reportedly donate blood legally.

One of the arrested, reportedly with the surname Huang, is the deputy chief of a blood centre operated by the Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products in Wuwei, in the Gansu province, about 956 miles southwest of Beijing, while the others were six jobless men, state media reported late Friday.

The children – aged from 10 to 16 – were reportedly being sent to the company’s blood donation centre for a period of about seven months. The official also reportedly said that the group had provided false identification papers for the children that showed that the donors were adults.

A husband is suing hospital officials in China after he found his dead wife alone on an operating table following the birth of their son.

Liu Hsiung, 29, had asked nurses for updates on his wife Zhang Chun, 27, after he was warned she was suffering critical complications at the Xiangtan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, in southern China.

He said: ‘I kept being told she was in the operating theatre, but it looked at if it was closed and no one was there.’

Hours later Hsuing finally managed to force his way into the operating theatre, where he found his wife’s body on the table with a cleaner sitting nearby smoking a cigarette and eating a coconut. The baby survived the birth.

He said: ‘I was going out of my mind outside wondering what had happened, yet they had gone home and my dead wife was left on a table in front of a guy eating his lunch.’
