An American in China

The Truth About China- From Brewskie

China’s less than awesome military gets a lot o ink, but much of what we hear is untrue..
From Brewskie
“China’s naval threat sinking towards Davy Jones’s locker…

China’s navy overhyped? Appears so. First, it appears China’s not constructing nuclear-powered subs as first thought; her sub fleet remains mostly diesel-electric subs, with a few nuclear-powered variants, and China’s been decreasing sub production; her underwater fleet may contract in upcoming years.

Second, China’s diesel subs are noisy and easy to track; evidently, they’re 10 years behind Russian subs, 20 years behind US underwater vessels. Aggressive deployment is making them easier to spot.

Remember China’s new aircraft carrier minus interceptor equipment ’cause the Russians won’t give/sell it? It’s a giant barge! Har! Har! Har! Har!

Note to readers: I’m not some dickhead, warmongering American who worships conflict, desires war with China. I was against both the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and knew they both would churn disaster; I’ve no yearning for war with China, though I can assure you some Americans are stupid enough to desire so, and have already forgotten the lessons of Iraq. Sigh….
