Street Shitter aka Chinese Hygeine

There is nothing finer than to sit at a nice Chinese eatery, bask in the warm glow of the NoX fumes and converse with a friend…. wait, wtf? Is that a lady taking her kid to shit in the streets in front of the restaurant?
Yes it is. In a visual depiction of what life is like in China we see that some old woman has taken her kid to the curb so that the kid could defecate on the street. The restaurant behind her has a bathroom, as do many others in the area. I guess the Chinese feel that a little more offal is not going to contaminate the place, so why not just let ‘er rip…
My only question is if this country is so fouled up today, what was it like 300 years or even thousands of years ago?
